How was your weekend?

I work at a restaurant 還是 He died three years ago 跟新聞常見標題 He has died aged 72,一個是已經過世一段時間,一個是剛過世。

A: How did you get into learning English?
B: This is a great question. Hmm, I still remember the first time I went to London for a summer school program. On the first day, I walked into the classroom, and all I saw was a ginger-haired “woman” sitting by the entrance (It’s true that people in Asia do look younger).
She looked mature and really confident, which made me so nervous, and I kinda felt hopeless at that moment.
And I was right.
I could barely catch up with everyone, and everyone saw me as a poor, terrified Asian girl who couldn’t even speak.
Anyway, fast forward to the performance day. I had to partner with an unfriendly Turkish guy who literally asked me to “shut my mouth” because he’s afraid I would negatively affect his score.

In the end, I played an obedient wife, and he played an emotional husband. That was the longest two minutes of my life. He was so into his character—pointing his finger at me and yelling aggressively—while I froze, trying my best to hold back my tears.
That’s the moment I told myself, “You have to be strong. Being able to speak is the first step.”
